The Citi Exhibition Manga マンガ at the British Museum, London from 23rd May to 26th August 2019

Manga is a contradiction. It’s a global phenomenon but is still deeply rooted in Japanese culture. It’s big business too but with enough genres to cater for tastes from the everyday to the perverse. But trying to make sense of these contradictions in a single show is a tough brief.
